Common questions about downtime.
Can we create custom checklists and downtime types?
Yes. You can build your own checklists, audit flows, downtime types, and reporting structures to match your specific operational requirements. This means no generic templates or clunky workarounds are needed!
Can operators record downtime from the ride?
They can. In fact, it’s one of the first things we added to CommandCentr when we first built it. When something goes wrong, the ride operator instantly closes it from the ride, recording the issue with a dedicated app. They simply tap to mark the ride is unavailable, log the cause, if known, and the system will automatically notify supervisors and maintenance teams.
What if the downtime reason is unknown when it occurs?
Not every issue or problem will have a clear cause in the moment. That’s why we let operators log a ride as down without forcing them to assign a cause. They can add key notes, which stay visible and open until a manager or maintenance team updates them with the confirmed cause later on. This avoids poor downtime attribution, while ensuring everything is tracked and managed before it escalates.
Can we connect downtime data with our maintenance and signage systems?
You can indeed. CommandCentr can integrate with your digital signage and maintenance systems either directly or via API. This means that when a ride goes down, key information is sent automatically, as soon as frontline teams log the issue. It’ll immediately be shared with supervisors and maintenance teams, as well as guest-facing screens and signage.
Is downtime data visible live at head office?
Of course. We’ve built CommandCentr with multi-site visibility in mind. Whether you run a single park, or thirty, central teams and head office will see what’s happening, as it’s happening. This includes ride status, time of closure, operator notes, and progress on resolution. You can then filter downtime reports by site, zone, or time, helping you to spot trends, respond faster, and give local teams support when they need it most.
